#Ulog # 13: Learning Through Experience

Hello Guys

Here's my 13th Ulog

I was just happy because after almost 3 days and lots of efforts to upload the video of the Steemgigs Talk Show, at last I succeeded. Yesterday at around 1:46 AM it was successfully posted.

So here's what I did, I borrowed my brother's laptop and install necessary application to compress the video 'cause it was to large and it took so long uploading it. On my previous trials I used 3 devices already but all was 32-bit Windows 7(desktop PC, Laptop, & Windows 7 on a Virtual Machine under MacOS) the handbrake version I had was the old one, and the new version doesn't support 32-bit device anymore. I've been using the old Handbrake version, I don't have any issues compressing there but I haven't tried to upload compressed on that app yet. I successfully uploaded the compressed video but when I played on dlive every thing was black and no video, just an audio so I deleted that post. When I got my brother's laptop I'm still trying to upload the raw video file which is around 2.5GB

As you can see on the picture while I'm compressing the file on the left laptop I'm still uploading the uncompressed file. But when the video was compressed still on the other laptop nothing happened, the uploading process stopped again. It's ok I got the compressed file from 2.5 GB to 500+ MB, the file memory was reduced by 80 %. After checking the compressed video file I uploaded it in dlive using my desktop PC for faster uploading.

In less than an hour it was done. It was quite a relief,haha. You can check the video here
I know it was late, but at least I did my best and learned from it.
