#ULOG:(Day73)August 15, 2018 " My homemade Ilocano Miki Pasta Noodles"

Ilocos Miki recipe is originally from the Ilocos Region Philippines. This is famous and usually made by Ilocano Filipinos. It is easy and simple to prepare. I learned this homemade Miki pasta from my Ilocano friend which was my roommate before. I watched her while she prepared this recipe and I learned a lot.
Ingredients needed:

  • Flour
  • Water
  • Chicken Breast
  • Eggs
  • Ground pepper
  • Garlic
  • Achuete mixed with hot water and salt for coloring mixture.
  • Cooking oil
  • Fish Sauce
    Procedure:
  • Boiled first the chicken breast 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once it's done take from the cooking pan.
  • Shred the Chicken and separate.

Yummy and delicious miki pasta.

Next steps:

  • Prepare a cooking pan, heat and add cooking oil.
  • Saute the garlic, until it turns to brown color.
  • Add the ground brown pepper, the shredded chicken breast and mixed together.
  • Pour fish sauce.
  • Pour water with the achuete mixture and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Put the Mikiki pasta cover until it cooks.
  • Add the boiled eggs and served hot.

Cooking Ilocano Miki Pasta.

Procedure in Making Miki pasta:

  • Prepare 1 cup flour and water.
  • 1 pcs beaten eggs with salt.
  • Large plain tray
  • Pasta Making or rolling pin
    Next step.
  • To start the dough place the flour on the big bowl, add water and 1 beaten eggs, then mixed together. Continue mixing the flour and until the solid dough forms. Then starts kneading the dough use palm hands until it turns to smooth texture and firm. Starts rolled out the dough using rolling pin or pasta. Once it's done place the dough into a plain tray and starts cutting it into thin noodles or pasta.
