ULOG: 20 Happy Fiesta Immaculada

The night before the day of feast consist of programs in the barangay court. Church fiesta mass is one of the important event. There are also an organized live band singing and dancing. The court in barangay hold a beauty pageant to entertain the locals. This is somewhat proof that pagentry in Ph is a serious business. Young ladies are eager for this kind of event each year.

While most of the houses, this scene is normal at dawn. Outdoor cooking, all are kind of busy preparing for food for the whole daytime for visitors, mostly relatives who come from distance.

The morning comes, I am glad for the rain did not show. Its a bountiful, beautiful day.

Dirty kitchen is not ready yet. The sound of the cutting board for meat and spices. Menu is in line.

Few hours of mixing the chop into kawali the menudo is ready.

And the lechon which is normally the star of the table is done after the long hours in the blazing charcoal.

Thankful for this day of celebration. The only time to see some relatives in far way places.
Fiesta is indeed an interesting culture that still alive. Hopeful for an abundant year for everyone! And hoping that all has food to eat and not hungry.Got to help to set the table. Lunch is ready!
