Ulog #4: Santa Cruzan One of the Philippine Tradition
Hello steemians, @alyssaechavaria again. I'm was walking yesterday in the SM and I was really surprised that there is a Santa Cruzan inside the mall. That was my first time to see this event inside the mall because it was usually held in a Barrios or villages. Here in the Philippines Santa Cruz is part of the Filipino culture and tradition. WHAT IS SANTA CRUZAN? It is being celebrated in the last day of May they call it Flores de Mayo or flower of May. It is a procession devoted to Virgin Mary since May is a dedicated month for Virgin Mary.
This is the time where beautiful girls in the place are invited to ware their gown and do the procession with beautiful arcs. I am one of those who get culture shocked to see this inside the mall. Many foreigners and people are busy taking photo of those beautiful ladies.
For me this girl has the most beautiful gown.
It is a Filipiniana style of brown and gold.
The Status. Cruzan that happened in the SM brought so much joy to us. We truly appreciate and value traditions and culture like this that make our country more fun.
This girl is the prettiest for me she has a beautiful smile and I feel that she is a nice person too because she keeps on smiling and say hi to everyone who wants to take picture. For me she stands out that day.
Photos are all mine. Thanks for reading. 😊
