The shape of the museum building is 2,500 square meters, resembling a ship, and has a kind of fairly large chimney towering. If we look from the top of the roof to form a wave of the sea. The floor is basically designed like a traditional Aceh stage house that survived the brunt of the waves of the sea / tsunami.

When we visited there, when we wanted to go to the lobby our registration was immediately greeted by a wrecked helicopter damaged. The helicopter carcass was on the front lawn, next to the entrance to the registration lobby. "According to the information I got from the museum staff, this helicopter used to be parked in the Polda field at the time of the tsunami"

After stepping into the museum's first door, we felt a soothing sensation as we passed through a dark and narrow passage. To the left and right of the aisle wall flowed an occasional splash of water about the visitors passing by. At the end of the hall was the Memorial Room. Here there are 26 monitors according to the date of the tsunami of 26 December 2004, which displays pictures of the events at the time of the tsunami tragedy.

After from the retirement room, the established trip lanes of the museum manager bring visitors to the Prayer Well. CHAMBER OF BLESSING this turned out to be the content of the towering chimney that is visible from outside the museum. In this dark prayer well, on its walls are the names of victims about 10 thousand names of souls, affixed with embossed letters of bright colors. The shape of the well is like an elongated pyramid, the smaller it gets.

According to information from museum officials, the height of the Prayer Well is about 32 meters, adjusted to the wave height at that time, "On the roof of this well there is written ALLAH with Arabic. Meaning these names up, facing the god above. "

After meeting the Prayer Well, visitors will cross the Peace Bridge, where on the bridge there are 53 flags of the country and the word "Peace" in accordance with their respective spelling language. 53 countries are the countries that help the people of Aceh after the Tsunami.

Under the Bridge of Peace there is a pool, whose water is actually only calf-high. The bridge is uphill, taking visitors to the audio-visual room. This room is like a movie theater, in which visitors sit and watch the photographs as the water waves carrying mud, sweeping Banda Aceh.

Furthermore, there are many other spaces that show basic documentation and knowledge on how a tsunami wave can occur. There is also a room that specifically provides information on how to prepare and react when a big wave comes.

We hope this activity will happen again, and can walk with friends again in the next day. And I sincerely hope that my content will be of great interest to the #uloggers.
