🍂 So Dry 🍂
I went for a quick walk
around the neighbourhood in what's supposed to be early summer, but it looked a little more like the beginning of autumn.
It hasn't rained in London for a while - which is why many lawns are brown instead of green. I noticed that the leaves have also started to fall as if it was autumn.
Looking at the weather forecast, there won't be any rain for the next week or so. It kind of makes me wonder if we're having a drought in London. Normally the government would have declared a hosepipe ban by now, from past experience, but nothing yet. The ban is to protect our precious reserve of drinking water.
If the weather stays like this for the next two weeks, I'm nearly sure the government would institute said ban. No watering your lawn, no washing your car (except with a bucket I guess), and so on.
For now, I'm just going to be grateful for the sunshine. It's a rare summer we're having.
Peace and Love ✌🏿

It is a very rare summer indeed! In winter I said it is going to be a hot summer - I was right! The colder the winter, the warmer the summer!
I would love to have some rain as well. Not only for my garden but also for the photography. I am not a big fan of sunny images - too boring.
You're right about the images. Everything is washed out in the sun - except maybe on the beach where I don't mind the burnt out effect of the sand and water/sky. .. but yeah, drama in the sky is much better for photos.
Its cool that you are enjoying the amazing summertime.
but hopefully it will rain soon.
Thank you. Yes, I don't want rain, but the earth needs it :)
