Still unclear how the House stands on things.

Speaker Mike Johnson hasn't said if he'll bring it to the floor for a vote.

However, there is a mechanism to bypass the Speaker called a discharge petition. It requires 218 votes. However discharge petitions are extremely rare as generally party members don't like to go against their party leadership. So we'll have to see.

The best way forward would be if Mike Johnson allows the vote. But Marjorie Taylor Greene has said she'll motion to oust him as speaker if he does that. And Trump is against Ukraine aid. So we'll have to see. Speaker Johnson has supported Ukraine in the past, but unfortunately he's been reluctant to do so lately.

Israel and Taiwan aid are part of the bill. This adds a wrinkle to things. Republicans would support Israel aid. In fact the Speaker wants a standalone Israel bill.

Israel aid may complicate things though as some Democrat Progressives may be against the bill because of it. That would be very bad.

So still a long way to go till Ukraine aid gets to Ukraine, but at least things are looking good in the Senate.
