DPR Recon. Detected Ukraine AF Artillery Positions in Area Prohibited by the Minsk Agreements Says DPR's E. Basurin

TODAYS SITUATIONAL SUMMARY & ceasefire violation report from Ukraine War "Rebel" Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) E. Basurin. January 29, 2018
"Over the past day, the military units continued to violate the ceasefire. In the areas of four settlements: ALEXANDROVKA, ZAITSEVO, YASINOVATAYA and SPARTAK, the enemy fired TWENTY FOUR 82 mm mines, five shots from BMP-2, and also used various types of grenade launchers and small arms.

In the zone of heavy weapons limitation our reconnaissance detected the Ukraine Armed forces artillery fire positions prohibited by the Minsk agreements in the area of settlements:

KURAKHOVO (17 km till the line of battle contact) - the firing positions of THREE 2S1 Gvozdika 122 mm caliber from the 30th separete mechanizate brigade have been revealed;

ZHELANNOE 2 (11 km till the line of battle contact) the location of FOUR guns-howitzers D-20 152-mm caliber from the 57th separate motorized brigade were marked

I would like to remind you that according to the signed agreements, the artillery must be at a distance of at least 50 km from the contact line.

An alleged armistice by the AFU came because the commander of the AFU A. Zabrodsky received a severe reprimand from the chief of the General Staff V. Muzhenko, for a gross violation by the Minsk Protocol and the imposed ban on conducting fire during the New Year armistice.

Zabrodsky can not get the troops organized, because the nationalist units do not care about the commander of the ATO and the AFU and continue provocative shelling of the territory of our Republic. This shows the failure of the military leadership in monitoring of the situation in the ATO zone.

The national militia observes the "silence regime" and adheres to the agreements reached by Minsk. Our actions are aimed at resolving the conflict in the Donbass by peaceful means.

The servicemen of national militia are planning to raise the level of professionalism and readiness to fulfill the tasks of protecting and ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of the republic"
