It is a fantastic building for sure and 400 years to build! Now that is big commitment.

Although he was forced to sign the Magna Carta. Nobody could agree on the principles and it was ripped up which led to the first Barons War. (civil war)

A watered down version of Magna carta was almost implemented by his son later but the genie was out of the bottle and people still to this day are fighting for those rights.

Some are enshined in law like the right to a fair trail by your peers. (whoever they are?)

The UK doesn't actually have a written constitution to this day.

Interesting post and I agree if the weather is not playing nicely it's a great place to spend a few hours.

You're absolutely correct @molometer, and I believe we're one of the very few countries that don't actually have a written constitution.

And yet we are considered the mother of democracy haha!
