If you want Olde Worlde The Castle Inn in Bramber, Sussex might just be what you're looking for.
The original building is from the 17th century and is full of nooks and crannies.

It is now a family-run hotel and pub and is particularly impressive in the summer when the front is always adorned with masses of hanging baskets full of flowers.

There are a number of other historical buildings in Bramber, including the castle ruins and St Mary's House, a late 15th-century timber-framed house which was built on a site associated with the Knights Templar.
It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but is, infact, only 8 miles from Brighton.
If you're ever in the area, it is well worth a visit. 😊

It's even better in the years they use lots of oranges and yellows but it's still pretty impressive @steven-patrick.
I think they will have their work cut out this year, keeping them watered. 😊
howdy @gillianpearce..say this is a gorgeous hotel. just think if those walls could talk! the way they adorn the exterior with flowers is beautiful, Bramber sounds like an interesting area to visit especially for the historical sites, excellent post!

Bramber is only a tiny place but there is plenty to see there to make it well worth a visit. 😊

No it's not my home town @janton but it's not far. I live on the coast, in Hove.
oh ok, does your hometown also have a lot of historic places? The only time I see anything in England it's in London like all the coverage of the big wedding. Are you a fan of Harry and Meghan?
