It has been long now since the endorsement of the blockchain technology in uganda.
Alot of things have happened, and as though uganda is not exploring the deep sea to come up with new innovations for the use of blockchain, it's rather catching up with this technology following up with the working implementations that have already worked for other countries.
What is this blockchain anyway?

A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data. Once recorded, the data in any given block cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks, which requires collusion of the network majority. The versatility of blockchain means it is being widely considered as a way to manage regulatory obligations. In particular, blockchain is now seen by many as the future of land registration.

It is considered to be a very secure way of claiming ownership.
The land affairs of uganda have been proven to have alot of corruption and fraud. With many persons claiming ownership of various land titles without real ownership, most of this corruption goes unoticed by the ones supposed to combat it.
Embracing the authentication of such issues is to improve many factprs in this area.
So far uganda is looking at land registries with the blockchain technology

This has shown a very big commitment to using this technology. It's a sign of embracing this technology for as long as it exists, a sign to push to it to it's limits with Innovations and quick implementations in uganda.
The cost of claiming ownership or acquiring a land title has always been a high one, with the government or the people in charge of such sectors involving in fraud where by a common man has no say incase things don't go his way.
It has been the case since the very early days that many people in Uganda have lost their lives due to land issues.
Inheritance of land was one of the main loopholes used by many fraudsters to claim land that is not theirs. The new generation of youths with rightful ownership had no confirmation for the ownership of that land, the paper work was all forged to favor the fraudsters. It is a long story, and looking forward to about 2025 when this #blockchain has been accepted to handle such issues, there will be some transparency in these areas.

So many countries doing it and others considering to use blockchain in such sectors

I saw Ukraine, Sweden. Embrace it.
In africa we have countries that are eagerly looking at it.
Ghana and Kenya are soon doing it after declaring sometime back.
India too, i support this for india as well because i have had India has had alot of corruption and fraud in these areas.
I see alot of countries doing this mostly in africa countries if only they embrace this blockchain technology.

We are looking up to technology for the betterment of our lives.

Thanks for passing by.
As always

Amazing to see the growing adoption.

Really amazing

forsure with Uganda's land registration problem its blockchain technology that can solve, since it can't be interfared and a corruption free system. so Uganda should dig deeper in blockchain tech. thanks @tesaganewton

The fact is that the block chain technology as it keps ganing awareness will change everyday life, hence the its adoption by Uganda land registries is one among the many changes that is too come.
