Things are certainly taking a weird turn in the run up to UFC 210 tomorrow.

First there was the controversy surrounding Daniel Cormier's weigh in. Now (courtesy of Ariel Helwani) news is emerging that female straw-weight fighter Pearl Gonzalez has been pulled from making her UFC debut on the card against Cynthia Calvillo because she has breast implants.

Per NYSAC, female fighters are not allowed to have implants, thus ruling out Gonzalez

According to the NYSAC (New York State Athletic Commission) rulebook;

Due to concerns over rupture; boxers who have breast implements are not eligible to box in New York.

(I'm assuming this rule has been extended to apply to MMA fighters also)

This situation is fluid however and it is believed that the UFC are trying to save the fight. I'll keep you abreast of any developments...
