I am so looking forward to this fight. Two of my favorite strikers ever square off against each other. I laid a fun be on Pettis since the odds are crazy long. It's Tae Kwon Do versus Karate.

Round 1

The size difference is not as noticeable as I thought. Pettis takes the center and is trying to keep the range tight. Pettis has a high guard and Stephen has his hands low.

Pettis lands a body kick. Stephen is throwing his kicks high. Stephen looks to have a slight speed advantage. Pettis leg kicks are definitely harder.

2:30 left and Stephen is circling with his back to the cage.

Pettis continues to land kicks to the body. Stephen lands a side kick and follows with some straight punches that are blocked.

1:00 left and Stephen has taken the center. Pettis is way more flat footed. Pettis lands a 2 that backs Stephen up.

My Score - Stephen 10-9 but it was close.

Round 2

The round starts the same with Pettis pursuing. Stephen throws a couple high kicks which are blocked. Pettis lands two nice leg kicks as he counters Stephen's hook kick.

Pettis lands to 2 to the body. Stephen counters with a leg kick which Pettis returns.

Pettis is bleeding from the nose as he has taken a few sharp straight punches.

2:00 left and Pettis continues to land leg kicks.

Stephen takes the center. Pettis continues to land the leg kicks.

The round will be decided by the last 30 seconds. Pettis lands a solid Superman punch as he bounces off the fence and Stephen is out. Amazing.
