Max Holloway vs. Brian Ortega Official for UFC 231 in Toronto on Dec. 8

Here we go again!

I have seen Max training in Hawaii and something just does not look right. He looks puffy and slow, not like the Max of two years ago. I hope he is OK. He does not look like a 26 year old and his body, face, and demeanor are showing the wear and tear of the fight game.

I have to go with Brian Ortega in this fight. I have only seen Brian train in videos and he has a snap, speed, and precision in what he does. I don't see this from the Max of today.

I am also looking forward to the Joanna and Valentina fight. I have to go with Valentina in this one and hope she is the underdog, if so I will be laying down money on her.

The card so far

  • Max Holloway (c) vs. Brian Ortega - for UFC featherweight’s title
  • Joanna Jędrzejczyk vs. Valentina Shevchenko - for vacant UFC women’s flyweight title
  • Cláudia Gadelha vs. Nina Ansaroff
  • Elias Theodorou vs. Eryk Anders
  • Devin Clark vs. Aleksandar Rakić
  • Hakeem Dawodu vs. Kyle Bochniak
  • Chad Laprise vs. Dhiego Lima
  • Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Gilbert Burns

The best is blessed, but the best has too many tbi’s. The slurred speech is a dead giveaway. Sad that it is likely the case at just 26. You can’t go into the cage & trade bombs to entertain fans without paying the price. I’d much rather see tactical fighting with as little damage taken as possible, but the ticket booth likes the car crashes.

Ortega is still very sharp & one of my favorite fighters to watch. Was interesting that he brought his little brother on stage for his skills demo last time around & was adamant that he did not want his little brother to get into fighting at all. That’s a smart guy looking out for his family

Thanks for the very insightful comment. I agree completely.

Good posts, I love the sport, but also reality
