Why CM Punk wasn't inspirational
So CM Punk made his UFC debut on the weekend. With no amateur experience, no boxing experience and not even any local 'old guys division' jiu jitsu experience - it's no surprise he lost.
And lost badly.
Not to mention quickly.
A lot of people are quick to applaud him for 'taking a chance', and remind him to ignore the 'haters'.
They're holding him up as an unconventional hero, when all he really did was tick a bucket list item off, at the expense of more deserving talent.
