You Will Be Able To Tip Your Uber Driver!

Great news in the free market transportation front as Uber announced today that users will be able to tip their driver in Seattle, Minneapolis and Houston as part of it's 180 Days of change in an attempt to mend relations with users and drivers alike.

I am Uber driver in Vilnius, Lithuania. I think this is great improvement. Currently in Vilnius it is hard to get any tips. A vast majority of tips comes from tourists. Hope that soon tip system will be available everywhere in the world

It's great for the customer, maybe not so great for the driver. The system is a record and taxes will have to be paid.

Just the fact that you realize it is taking puts you way ahead of the trap.
Isn't it better to get a tip and pay taxes on it than to not receive a tip at all?
A lot of times they create a system that winds up taking all. Also why should someone else be allowed to take your life energy (labor) away from you? Many people think, because of predictive programing that mind control which is what government means etymologically has magical rights.
For instance I don't have the right to demand you pay me some of your labor. That being the case there is no way I could ever vote to give someone or government a right I don't have. This is what makes there claims magic, pixie dust, and fairy tales. Another case in point is the fact that I don't have a right to assault people to have it my way and could therefore never vote for someone else to have something I don't have. Every time a person is arrested it is a assault, because they refuse to arrest officials who break the law. In fact such behavior proves we don't live under law, but under tyranny. The more people who know this the less magical power they will be able to exert. lol
There is no social contract according to the supreme court and thus no duty for government and or you! Many people mistakenly think the constitution is a contract. The reason why it is not being followed today is because it is not convenient for the government to follow it.
The sad truth is that a Uber driver in most cases is going to lose capital faster than he will make it. That 20% that Uber gets from the driver's fair , represents the usually profits. The driver will have to by tires, do maintenance and it is all out of pocket. So while they think in the beginning they are making money all they are really doing is wearing out their vehicle. They won't have paid it off yet and will have to go buy another vehicle. This is most likely the real problem Uber is having with its drivers. Now in Uber's business cycle is when the bulk of the drivers is finding this out.
Like any career choice, those who do their due diligence will reap the rewards of executing a well conceived plan.
I'm tossing the idea around of becoming an Uber driver in my spare time, I have a few vehicles that are paid off and I have free time (less now that I've found steemit!) to help people get around in their daily grind in exchange for compensation. The conversation and getting to know strangers and their unique perspectives on the world is strictly a bonus!
While driving people around is also a good time to make sales. Thus one could create a business within the business. I think there must be several ways a person could make it. I just know from my own experience as a taxi driver how expensive it is and just how much has to go back into the business if you are the owner, driver. Driving alone is iffy.
