city life ... i liked gent a lot and i cant count the hours i spent allnighters in brussels but i wouldnt move back there and frankly the state the state is in ... trotting around every streetcorner in the capital all night by myself talking to every dog with a hat (flemish expression) just doesnt feel anymore. Last time i was there .. not just the military everywhere patrolling since they blew up the airport and metro. The whole vibe was gone. And for a city with a name like that i cant say i have ever run into any trouble, and always by myself (but i didnt in Paris either though a few Parisians i met thought me suicidal for doing that lol)

i would say maybe that's why it can be difficult to develop lasting friendships the expectations might be a bit to high in some cases and to low in others. i pretty much try my best to have none, that way anything all is appreciated, who we are depends so much on the environmental programming this where i believe wires are crossed in many cases.
