That's gaming for me right there escapism but like you said it's not quite the same.
To be honest Steemit get's enough new people coming in especially from certain places, the main problem is they don't stick around as they quickly assume they should be entitled to the cash votes that they see on the front page, or they don't understand Steem nor the benefits of holding on to their winnings.
