My experiences running a Twitter giveaway bot

Over the past month, I've been running a Twitter bot that retweets tweets which look a bit like this:
So every 15 seconds I would be automatically entered into a random giveaway. Admittedly, I got the idea from this blog post that went viral a few years ago, which I saw late last year. I quickly coded the bot up afterwards and it has been running for a little over a month.
Here are how things went with it.
Stats
I entered over 18,000 giveaways during this period, and have won a mere 19 of them. That is a winning percentage of 0.1%. The blog post I linked earlier reported over 0.5% winning percentage, but that was a few years ago when there were much less bots and much less people knew about Twitter bots.
I can imagine that most legitimate contest holders would check for bots, as the giveaways I won were always from smaller accounts. They also used really bad methods of picking a winner, instead of using ones that check for bots. Like one person MANUALLY entered every entrant's name into a 'pick a name out of the hat' site to pick the winner.. good thing there were only like 20 people who entered.
Winnings
Here are things I've won from the giveaway:
- ayana pro key
- pokemon tcg booster pack key
- xbox 30 day game pass
- sonic cd steam key
- roblox toy key
- 11 pink coin
- hulu account
- drakelounge.com $7 credit
- $25 paypal
- 20 week cycling training program videos
- spotify premium
- spotify premium (declined)

- survive the nights steam key
- cicuit dude steam key
- 199 cappasity coins
- personalized pony drawing (declined)

My favorite winning is probably 199 Cappasity coins, because I'm a sucker for crypto :P
