True Nature

His eyes blinked from time to time, it was a sensation similar to being through a tunnel in a speed car.

She knew that something was wrong, but instead of waking up she decided to let herself be overcome by fatigue. It has been a long time since she had a bit of tranquility in her life.

Not since his parents and brothers were murdered and no one seemed to care.

Not since she decided to capture their killers. Take them to justice. That is what she was trying to do, that the world know who are the real guilty that made her life break into little pieces.

Even so, inside her, she only wanted to find them and torture them to death. Something that for some reason she couldn't do. She had the motivation and the means but there was something unknown for her that prevented her from acting as she really wanted.

Her life had been terrible for five years, since that tragic night. She wanted to go against the world for ignore hers situation and leave everything to oblivion. But she was never able to do it, something didn't allow her.

Feeling a little better she opened her eyes little by little, feeling her body heavy with part of his hair covering his face.

"You woke up"

She turned her face towards a boy with a funny appearance and big glasses who look at her full of longing and surprise.

A stalker or a kidnapper?

She was too old for that kind of thing, she thought, although she was not even twenty-five years old. But for the ridiculously hard life that she had, she felt like at least forty-five.

"Who are you?"

The horrible tone of her voice surprised her, the scratchy feeling in her throat was completely Uncomfortable.

"You're mine"

The boy's enthusiasm in saying that was very disturbing.

"Seriously?"

The irony in the distortion in her voice was palpable. She could knock down and make that boy plead in seconds.

"Yes, I made you, I am your creator"

Excited the boy got up and went to the pile of papers he had on a small wooden table.

She was ready to leave but the boy approached quickly with a pile of untidy papers.

She was about to ignore it until she noticed that they were drawings.

A comic.

And in each vignette she was there. She was about to hit the little stalker for drawing her without her permission until she realized that they were exact situations of her life.

"What is this?"

She went page by page and every time she was more scared.

"Your story, I wrote it, you are my main character, my hero and now you are real, you really appeared here"

The boy's enthusiasm in describing all that was nauseating.

Just a moment.

If what that guy says is true, many things would make sense.

"So you killed my family?"

The boy changed his enthusiasm for nervousness.

"It was necessary to attract the audience"

So for entertainment that boy made her life a misery.

Now that she realized that something that always limited her to not doing bad things, she didn't feel it anymore. Probably because that thing was actually that boy who limited her actions in her world.

But now, there in the "real" world she was free.

A smile appeared on her face.

Two birds with one stone.

In front of her, she had the real person responsible for the death of her family.

She would take a bit of justice by his own hand, enough of be a hero, time to be who she really has always been.

A fragmented soul in search of revenge.
