Brilliant characterisation of the gargoyle, he's a classic anti-hero. The events seem oddly topical too...
Feels like there's a real choice being made here. An eternity of waiting versus a moment of heroism - can't be sure I'd have the strength, but then our protagonist has holiness on his side. Great write :)
Thanks Lazarus, I wanted the gargoyle to develop a bit, from justice to mercy, and tried to avoid cheesiness at all costs. Thanks for the thoughtful comment
