I panicked when I was reading this, I thought we had gone the same way, and this is so wonderfully put together, but phew, not at all! The flip of perspective, the poetry woven in, the sudden reveal. The change in narrative brings the focus on how something like this affects family and loved ones, the strange mix of shame, fear, acceptance and concern. <3
