Getting down from the bus, Damian knew he has just started another phase in his life , he is now a widower at a tender age of thirty five, very bad uhn?. To make it more pathetic they never had an issue. It happened so fast.

His wife Diana was working as a US Army volunteer in Iraq, they has a raid in the middle of the night, ten people were left dead and his wife happens to be one of them. Though Damian got a decorated US flag making it twelve of those in his family house, He has paid enough price of Americans war he said to himself. Damian made to travel out of his state. Go north.

Alighting from the bus, he checked in to the new acquired house, and made to settle his things to move on his life, Damian brought out a pen to draft his day to day work, he resort to jugging in the morning, blogging and keeps on volunteering in honour of his wife, he also joins a teams of widower meeting in an old church just some blocks away from where he lives.

The bell rang, and he made up for the day, the clock says 7:00 am, putting on his trainers and kits, he made for the street with his earpiece on playing the evergreen song of Bob Marley - Every Little thing, is gonna be alright.
All of a sudden Damian could see a woman with nearly the same figure as his wife with her mouth agasp, looking beyond his shoulder, he wasn't disturbed if she saw his wife, it's normal. But it wasn't his wife anyway. A mini truck has lost the lane and its heading towards him, before Damian could feel what is moving behind him by looking back, he has been knocked against gravity. Flying in the air and hitting his head against only God knows.

The beeping of the ECG machine brought me back to life, I could see a man beside me, a little bit unconscious. His wife holding his hands with tears in her eyes.
The doctor came in, " oh, thanks goodness you're awake.
"Am......." was all I could say, trying to move my body.
"Easy there, it took us a while to couple you back together, are you still feeling any migraine in the head?".
"No, am fine" I lied.
"Doc, I've passed out since when now".
"Two weeks now".
"What !.
" You were brought in in a really bad shape, but you're fine now, we hand some troubles fixing some neurons in your brain, so if you feel anything, do let me know."
I was discharged two weeks after with no family friend to come greet. Steeping out of the hospital, things became different, looking at every building right before me, I could see everything, at first I thought it was all a glass house , a new kind of architectural craze , but this ain't , all houses couldn't have been changed to glass.
I couldn't just stop staring right in front of the hospital.
Do I go back to meet the doctor telling him what is happening? Am sure the headline on the newspaper tomorrow will be
"A lonely man develops the ability to see through walls."

Nice. I've read your poetry before. Like this prose here and how you used the prompt to finish the tail. Perfect.
