Defiance.
A bead of sweat tickled her hairline as she strained her muscles in anticipation of the pain she knew would come.
"Is that your final answer?"
"Yes," she quietly answered.
Her clothes were torn off her back to better prepare her for the 'treatment'.
She stood there naked, unashamed and defiant in the face of death.
Excruciating pain followed her descent into the 'tube'. The weird liquid ate at her flesh without marring it. She became deaf and blind to all but the pain.
Her lungs craved oxygen but found little. Slowly, she drifted off, taking the secret with her.
This is my entry for the 100 word story contest hosted by @thewritersblock.
This is the first time i would be writing a 100 word story and it is just as challenging as the fifty word story challenge by @jayna. I hope to join the fun more and also hope you enjoyed reading!

This is a really intense scene, @cheekah. And you are brave to write a story where the main character sacrifices herself!
