Blind - Writers Block Poetry Contest Week 1

Blind

Green is the grass that floats on pillows Mother sew,
so green, the sun, blinded by its radiance, shines in sapphire blue.
So red the roses, placidly growing on the ready-made bed,
steadily, one by one, merging with the field, and letting go …
So white, your winter-burdened face, such tempting past it brings with grace.

Fragile innocents we are, none more, yet not one less, we are but stars.
As yellow as their golden presence, so dark, the night that holds their essence,
filling up the gaps in life, deep and lonely holes from which we write …

So full the life of men, who see the things that I nigh can,
so full of wonder, soon deluded into nothingness with ease,
like stars, who live and die, like the darkness that forever is alive.
Grace upon the son of man, who is not blind like me and sees...
