Threnody - Writers Block Poetry Contest Week 1
Threnody
by the light of
my body,
my fear
opening the heart
to the unseen world,
laid out as
puzzle pieces
or still life
anesthesia
wine adorning
the brow of
the chosen, one
rotting apple
a dropped needle,
the abandoned
monophony,
phonographs
running in circles -
a parking lot,
a palace, the
domestication of
shoe laces and
a place to call,
home.
divine virus and you,
a distant star.
