The Young Sheldon - a real treat!

There are many great TV series to choose from, but not so many of them are family friendly and safe to watch with people of all ages. But, The Young Sheldon is a brilliant pick if you want to have fun with the entire family while watching the TV.

The Young Sheldon is currently running in the second season on CBS, and it was a giant success from the start. It is based on the character of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory, and here we are taken back to his childhood to see and to understand how he ended up being like we all know him from The Big Bang Theory. What is interesting is that most people who like The Big Bang Theory also like The Young Sheldon. But, I have also met and spoken to quite a lot of people who do not like The Big Bang Theory, who are totally crazy about The Young Sheldon. This is, in other words, not a TV series only for fans of the original series!

The humor of Sheldon is very similar to the one we meet in The Big Bang Theory. He is just as brilliant as a young boy, and he has trouble understanding the limitations of the minds of the people surrounding him. He isn't afraid to stand up and share his thoughts, and that can be seen as he stands up in the middle of the church service to start debating evolution theory with the pastor.

There are fantastic jokes in every single episode, and The Young Sheldon is one of the highlights every week as I get to watch a new episode. I also want to give credit to CBS for managing to create a successful spin-off, as that is something few networks manage to do. There are so many examples of failed spin-offs, but luckily, The Young Sheldon did not turn into that.
