How to make saved passwords in Chrome Visible!
Introduction
Hello, thanks for dropping by. I want to make sure you know that the information I provide is for educational purposes only! I am NOT responsible for your actions or how you use this information!
- In order for this to even work, you have to have a saved username and password in Google Chrome. You can also use this tactic to make sure the password you type in is visible while creating an account so you can check the spelling of your password should you want to. You can make passwords visible with other browsers too, although some of the steps are slightly different.
- Now that you are at a website we can begin. I chose instagram.com since I don't have an account with them.
- If you are trying to reveal the password to a current username that has been saved in chrome, RIGHT-CLICK the password field and choose "inspect".
- A new side window will appear on the right side of the browser with the current element/setting
input type="password"
. Change the type field "password" to "text". IT MUST BE INSIDE OF QUOTATIONS (" ")!
- Now that you've changed "password" to "text", the password should be clearly visible as shown below.
Congratulations, you've successfully made your password, visible! it IS your password right?
And this inspect can only be done with the pc..... Not with the smartphone... Resteemed
😜
True, I never thought about trying with a smart phone before. I'm sure it can still be done on Macs as well.
I know it very well it is helpful for peeps who lost their passwords and at that time chrome inspect element will definitely help pepps....
