Music Theory Tutorial With Reason Intervals Of The Major Scale and Its Modes

In music theory, an interval is the distance between two notes. Intervals can be used to make melodies and create chords. In this music theory tutorial, I discuss the intervals of the major scale and its modes. Each mode of the major scale and their intervals are laid out in an easy to understand format. After the intervals of each mode are discussed, I play for you each mode over their related chords. This will allow the chance for you to hear how each mode sounds in a basic context.

The Dorian mode:

The Phrygian mode:
