USE YOUR COMPUTER TO PLAY ON PS4 - Remote Play
Ever been in that situation when you have a PS4 but don't have a TV to play on? Does your family occupy the TV all the time? Well, here is a solution for you!
There is an app for your computer that lets you remotely play on your PS4 via your router/modem, and casts the screen directly to your PC or Mac. In this tutorial I'm gonna refer to the PC.
It looks like this:
Let's get started!
I'm gonna show you how to set it up so you can play on your PS4 via your PC-screen:
First of all, I must tell you that you need a screen/TV when setting this up for the first time. After the setup is complete, you should be able to accsess the PS4 by simply turning it on and connect it with your computer.
Alright, so when you have a screen/TV available, go to this link and download the app on your computer.

You should now see this page. Choose PC or Mac, and the download should start.
The installation process is pretty straight forward. No need to tweak any settings.
Open the app [PS4 Remote Play], and go to settings.
Click on Sign In under "PlayStation Network" and log in to your PSN account. Don't worry, this is official PlayStation software.
For the resolution and framerate settings you have to play around a little, to see what your connection can handle. I use 720p and "High framerate".
Now, let's set up your PS4 and connect it to the computer.
First, go to your PS4 settings and choose "Account Management"
Then hit "Activate as Your Primary PS4"
Make sure it is activated. The Activate option should be greyed out. If not, click on it.
Then, head back to the PS4 settings page and go to "Remote Play Connection Settings"
Enable the two options shown on the image, then hit "Add Device". You should see 8 numbers on the screen.
Now open the [PS4 Remote Play] app on the computer, and click start. Your computer is now searching for a PS4 to connect to. If the computer can't find the PS4, make sure your PS4 is connected to your router and is updated with the latest firmware. If it's still not found, there should be a button on the app that lets you add the PS4 manually. Fill in the 8 numbers and you should now be connected. Plug your PS4 controller in to the PC with a USB cable, and there you go! You can now play on your PS4 remotely.
Thank you for reading my tutorial! If you're having trouble, please leave a comment and I will help you the best I can.
