steemnow.com - a helpful tool for new Steemit users. With this tool you can see your vote worth, rewards, steem power (sp), post summary and many more. If you are a months old user and still struggling to understand fully how steem/steemit works, this article is also for you.

Use this tool to your advantage. Steemit is best used when used together with a tool like steemnow.

Accessing steemnow.com

Accessing steemnow (option 1)

Go to steemnow.com then look for settings (See screenshot below). At the Username remove afterglow then change it with your own username. At Theme (number 3) choose Dark so that your theme is the same as this tutorial to avoid confusion. Click Save if you are done.

Accessing steemnow.com (option 2)

You can directly go to the website by typing https://steemnow.com/@YOUR_USERNAME Example: https://steemnow.com/@afterglow my username is afterglow, just change afterglow with your username. If your username is johndoe type https://steemnow.com/@johndoe

Then at the Theme (number 3) choose Dark so that your theme is the same as this tutorial to avoid confusion. Click Save if you are done.

Using steemnow

User information section

You can find this on top of the website. In this section you can see your username, reputation and sp (see screenshot below)

• @afterglow - username
• 54.312 - reputation (the number that you can see beside your username)
• 0.000 STEEM - current STEEM you own, your can get STEEM by buying from Blocktrades or by participating in some contest that gives STEEM as a reward.
• 93.428 SP - steem power. The higher it gets, the higher your vote worth. You can get sp by curating (voting) and from your author rewards.
• $0.03 - vote worth in SBD (steem dollar) not USD. Vote woth will go higher when your SP (Steem Power) goes higher.

Daily Rewards section

In this section you can see your total curation and author rewards from yesterday and today. Curation rewards comes from posts that you voted, author rewards comes from your own posts' rewards.

Voting Power section

This section shows your voting power, if this becomes low your vote worth will also become low. Everytime you vote this will decrease.

Latest Upvote section

In this section you will see the latest upvotes your post are getting from other users.

Latest Curation Rewards section

This section shows your latest curation rewards that are coming from the posts that you upvote.

Latest Author Rewards section

This section shows your latest author rewards that are coming from your own posts.

And finally, the Latest Posts section

In this section you will see your latest posts and their corresponding potential rewards.
