Orman Park in Alanya

In this tourist article I would like to tell you about the magnificent place of the Antalya region - Orman Park. It is located 20 km from Alanya, you can go there by car and it takes about an hour, high in the mountains or you can go on a tour with a travel agency. Usually such trips include breakfast in the restaurant.

The road to the Park also deserves attention; the higher you go, the more beautiful the views will be opened, you will see a stunning view from the height of the entire Alanya, a view of the fortress, on both sides washed by the boundless Mediterranean Sea. Approaching the Park, you will meet the grandmothers (looks like Russian) selling the result of their labors. Be prepared that sometimes you must go slowly and you can be surrounded by a herd of bleating goats.

Finally, you arrived. Almost immediately, at the entrance to the Park you will see a restaurant with the same name. In the Park there is a playground, horses, which you can ride yourself, and children can also ride the horses. It cost only 10 Turkish liras, the truth is you just ride a circle around the playground, but for children this happiness is unimaginable. There is also a mini zoo, with birds and you can feed them. By the way, what surprised me that they have our Russian pigeons. Pigeons in Alanya are not like ours, but it was still strange to see Russian pigeons as a bird to show. Next to the mini-zoo there is a large paddock where chickens, geese and colorful roosters can be seen. There is a small pretty waterfall near the paddock.
In the Park there are places with barbecue, where you can come with your food and cook barbecue. And those who are lazy, can order everything in the restaurant. In the restaurant you can meet large groups of cheerful tourists for breakfast. You will be served delicious Turkish tea in a kettle similar to a Russian samovar. You can eat cheap soups, Turkish pizza, order a whole lamb. You can buy a variety of local jam, honey, olives in cans.

The rest of the territory is a park, you seem to get into the Karelian forests, even there is a nostalgic longing for the pine forests of Russia, especially clear to those who live here for more than six months. You can pick up bumps for children’s crafts and just wander through the woods wistfully and remember your Homeland. People say that somewhere in the mountains there are white mushrooms and a group of local Russians wants to go there, we have not checked.
By the way, the temperature in the Park is much lower than in the city, local families come there to relax from the August heat. If the city is +40, the Park is very comfortable + 20-25.
Be sure to visit the Park, go deep into away from people, and you can lie on the ground, look at the tall pines, watching the sky and dreaming about everything you want.
