So I secured my GED, and my job is pretty much okay. But I want to get ahead. So, should I apply to a college right away or perhaps find a job at a major corporation that offers a fine college tuition reimbursement program or even pay for my further education upfront?

There are more and more companies that offer tuition reimbursement. Once you've secured your GED, you qualify for a college education, and so do I!! But many people, also GED graduates, looking to earn a college degree won't do that because of the crazy-high tuition costs of a college or university education.

And though it may be challenging to pursue a college education while working part- or full-time, it can be perfectly done if your boss picks up the tab, right?

Fortunately, there are companies that will pick up the tab of their employees' college education, making attaining an academic degree less stressful.

Some companies pay for your education upfront, and others will reimburse you fully or partly so your financial burden will be bearable.

This is not a complete list, there are more companies that have outstanding tuition reimbursement plans or pay upfront for your college education.
