TOP 10 FAVORITE FILIPINO DESSERTS

I have shared many recipes over the past few years and some of my favorites have been the Filipino desserts. From Puto to Halayang Ube, there are so many different Filipino sweets and desserts and I enjoy eating just about all of them. Devouring these sweet treats reminds me of being back home in the Philippines. I thought that I would recap and share some of the favorites from the past few years.

PUTO

Puto is a classic. It is a steamed cake that a little bit sweet. It is usually eaten with a bit of butter, or by itself.!

This colorful jelly dessert is often served during the end of the year. Use your favorite jello flavors in this delicious dessert.

This cornbread bibinka recipe combines cornbread and bibingka, a famous Filipino dessert that is made from rice cake and coconut milk.

KUTSINTA

Kutsinta is a sticky brown cake made from tapioca starch, flour and sugar. Like puto, it is a popular snack amongst Filipino.
