Skeptic Short - Voodoo Chiropractors
You walk into the office and directed to lay face down on a padded table. The doctor applies force to your spine and you hear cracking and feel adjusting within your back. You are rolled onto your side more adjusting is done. Your head is cradled within the doctors hands then suddenly twisted one way then the other. The bones in the back of your neck crack. You are done.
There seems to be two schools of thought for chiropractors. The first school, the chiropractor adjusts your back when you injure your back or experience lower back pain...like us older people do often. The second school, the chiropractor adjusts your back numerous times a week in order to ensure the pathway from the brain to the organs and other body parts remains unobstructed. This is called subluxation and purportedly will prevent sickness and disease. One of these is voodoo magic. The other is not.

Hi @wizardofcheeze, great to see someone using the word skeptic correctly on this site! I feel more and more lately that word has been taken to mean the polar opposite. Keep up the good work and remember as Phil Plait says don't be a dick (not that I think you are, but always worth bearing in mind when talking pseudoscience)
