At the start of Nirvana's song "On a Plain" there is a little strange riff.
In the musical version of War of the Worlds, by Jeff Wayne, there is a song called "Horsell Common and the Heat Ray"
At about 1:55 of the Heat Ray song, the riff is evident.
If I had the skill I would have created a video merging the two sections to better emphasise the identical nature of the two songs.
I am not accusing Kurt Cobain of stealing this, maybe it was just a tribute or maybe IT is a warning about the complete control we are already under by the powers that be.
Here are the lyrics from War of the Worlds, directly before the Nirvana.
