Blundering Bomber

Regarding the new blundering bomber, targeting despised Democrats, my first thoughts are: this sounds nutty and hard to take very seriously. Apparently these bombs were completely ineffective - assuming (s)he(it) actually wanted to harm someone. They could have exploded. But they didn't. Until intentionally exploded by the FBI. I mean this guy is certainly no Unibomber.

My first possible theory, which arose immediately, due to the absurdity of the event, is that the Democratic party wants to distract the public's attention for a while with this event, so they can quietly announce something else that they really don't want to talk about. Maybe something big, like the Russia-gate investigation results which have apparently been described as "Disappointing" by Vox or some left-leaning media group. In other words, nothing of substance to report - at least that's what it sounds like so far. Much of it will apparently be redacted or unavailable for people to see. Wonder why that is?

Just a theory of one possibility from the mind of a duly registered conspiracy theorist.
