How to be a total badass

in #truth7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone!
I'd like to share habits and knowledge that I have aquired on my path towards badassery. And what I mean by "badass" is of course self-mastery. Just a funny way of saying it. Some of the most important things that I do have already been shared in my recent post "Techniques and practices for sexual mastery", but I will re-state them and other techniques here.
It is hard to say which of these techniques is most critically important, and that I why I do them all. I like a vegan diet rich in super foods. There are, however, vegan foods that are very common which should be avoided. One of the best ways to identify toxic food is to look at the process of how it is produced. There are hidden laws in place in the universe that determine how your body will react to a certain input via the law of causality. Some foods create certain affects in our bodies, and your understanding or belief is not required for the effect to manifest. Part of the purpose of life is to conform your understanding and the thoughts in your mind to the actual truth of what is really happening. This requires that you understand that truth exists and is worth looking into. Does the word "truth" cause you to react in a certain way? Maybe it makes you on your guard or disgusted. Maybe the very word truth makes you feel like you want to hit the back button in your browser to get away. That could be an indication that you have bought the biggest lie. The biggest lie is that there is no such thing as truth. The very statement "There is no such thing as truth" can not be true, otherwise if it were true then it would be false. You can see how that doesn't make any sense. So, the truth is not something that can be run away from, as it exists in all times and places. You cannot one day claim that 1+1=3, and expect the entire universe to all of the sudden conform to that belief, even if you strongly believe it. If you have a strong belief that is in fact incorrect, the universe will send you subtle messages to let you know that there is an error in your thinking. This is why we use words like "right" and "wrong" to describe so many things in life. These words do not need to be avoided, and are in fact very helpful in manifesting positive change in the world, especially if you have the right idea about what is right and not the wrong idea. And who is it that decides what the right idea is?, you may be asking. The universe decides it, and it can not be changed by humanity. It is not for me to decide what right and wrong are. Instead, my job is to explore and test hypotheses that I have about right and wrong, so that I can come to an accurate understanding of the world around me. Understanding of truth is the place of all power.
There are two types of truths that need to be understood. One of them can change, and one of them can not. The manifested world that we are currently living in is the first type of truth, the one that can be changed. The present state of being in the world must be understood by lots of people before we can ever make large changes to consciously turn it into something better, something that makes everyone happy. The more that me, you, and everyone else knows about what is going on in the word right now, and what has happened in the past, the more power that we have to create a future that we would like to live in. This is the value of study and science. Reading books is one of the most transformative habits that a person can practice. There are more books than you can read in a hundred lifetimes, but that should not disuade you from getting started. Readers are leaders. The Latin word "liber" means two things: it means freedom, and it means "book". It is the root of the words "library" and "liberty". This is how important reading was to cultures in the ancient world. If you had the power to read, you had the power to be free, and chances were you already were relatively free.
Our futuristic society has ironically lost an interest in reading. Some people are forced to do it for work or for school, and that is a tragedy. Most of us read small amounts of words to operate in the modern matrix: street signs, restaurant menus, etc... There are also those of us who do a bit of reading here and there to learn a few tidbits on social media, in magazines, on top 10 lists and other popular articles on the internet. But for many people, that is all of the reading they are likely to do, for years at a time. This is a big part of why humanity is not free. People do not read enough, and they aren't reading the right things.
Reading books is a much different experience than the other types of reading. Book-reading takes focused concentrative intent over a long period of time. Ideas can be explored fully and in detail in a book, and they can be much more deeply ingrained into the consciousness of the reader. Complex ideas that are very powerful can be absorbed; a part of a persons' soul can be absorbed. Books are a gigantic resource that remain untapped by many, and why is this? There are many reasons. Internet addiction is real and very powerful. The internet is not as good as a book in certain ways. There tend to be many, many distractions on a typical web page, to the point where your brain actually spends more effort filtering out information that it does absorbing information. The back lit computer screens are also bad to stare at for long periods, especially at night. And the information available on the internet is for the most part very basic, watered down, and simplified, because the average reader only spends a few seconds looking at each page any way. Just go to a page like reddit.com and see how it can quickly become the fast-food of information. Even the facebook app on your cell phone can become a powerful addiction that seems to control your mind and body, and what do you really get out of it? Usually just a few cat pictures, or pictures of what people ate for dinner or their kids. There is other information on there that is great, typically in video format, and the internet should not be totally discarded in favor of books, but you must make conscious decisions in what you absorb on the internet, if you want to be a total badass.
Book reading is a skill that requires patience, dedication, and practice, but the rewards are very well worth the effort. You will find that you are more articulate, you speak better, you are better at organizing ideas. Book-reading makes you better at thinking, better at getting to the bottom of problems. You become a better, more attractive and charismatic communicator. You become more knowledgable about the world, how it works, and what experiences are available to have. You become a more patient, centered, and happy person, surprisingly. The internet has a way of physically stressing your brain out and making you angry, but books are the exact opposite. They do provide a nice exercise for your mind and brain, but also make you feel like you accomplished something, like you are truly learning. The focused attention makes your brain feel good, and calms you down, almost becoming a zen-like meditation.
Most people are completely unaware of these types of benefits that book-reading can provide, and they are the ones who need to read the most. I am very grateful that I have time that I can spend on reading, music and the other experiences that enrich my life. Part of our duty on this planet is to free humanity, so that more of us can spend more time doing things that are productive instead of destructive.
I mentioned that there are two types of truths, the first being the ever changing state of the world. The second type of truth is the eternal truths that never change. This second type of truth may be harder for people to comprehend or grasp, because it is not as in-their-face as the first type, but it exists none the less. Math is a perfect example of universal, eternal truth. Ask a new-age solipsist what they think math is when they say there is no truth. I bet you will laugh at the mental gymnastics and question-dodging that you will see.
There have been many occult, or hidden, traditions that study and illuminate the eternal, occulted, truths and laws. In fact, this is a topic that we can learn about over the course of eternity. Knowledge exists, do not be discouraged because it is so big, it is still worth working for and acquiring, and it comes with the power to change consciously.
Plant medicine is a great teacher that can show you the nature of reality, the cosmic illusion that is the physical manifested world. Plant medicine can bring you to a higher understanding of what nature and you really are, helping you to see repeating, fractal patterns, that go over a lot of people's heads. It can give you brain-downloads of thousands of peta-bytes of information in a single night. While I would agree with certain people that you can learn very quickly without plant-medicine, I disagree with those who claim that it is only dangerous, has no benefit, and should not be used by anyone wanting to have a good, productive life. Sadly, you hear such claims from every direction in our society. The government tells you its dangerous, your parents say it is a mistake, the church claims that it is bad. The scientists often only focus on whatever negative side effects they are looking for. Even people dedicated to truth, love, and growth can recede back into fear when it comes to psychadelics, entheogens, and the horrible hallucinogens. I'd suggest you give it a try if you are curious, and I can guarantee you you will be surprised by what you find. I find that they upgrade my consciousness and brain supernaturally quickly, and they make me read faster.
However, plant medicines need to be used in a balanced way, not desperately clinged to as the only savior you will ever get. The every day trivialities and basics of life need to be prioritized and taken care of if you want success in your psychedelic path. I find that there is a correct amount of usage for any given time frame, and that that amount can change. For example, I find that I must limit my cannabis use, so that I do not become addicted, confused, depressed, apathetic, and ashamed. Using too much cannabis throws my whole life into a state of imbalanced where things slowly but surely start falling apart. I can not prescribe a certain amount of cannabis for you, but I only use it every couple weeks or so.
I also find that using too much cannabis makes me bad at attracting women, I feel I am too emotionally amped up and reactive when I am on it, and that I am not as motivated, because the cannabis placates me with its feminine energy. Over-indulging in cannabis can cause me to miss opportunities that may come my way with human females, and if I had to choose one, I will choose the right girl over a plant. Thankfully I don't have to choose just one if I can remain balanced and in control on both fronts. Cannabis screws me up with girls in other ways too. I practice abstinence from masturbation because it makes me more attractive to women. Excessive cannabis use deactivates my will to resist, while at the same time making me very horny and desirous due to its aphrodisiac effects. This combination inevitable leads to masturbation, which is a form of self-abuse that can turn you into a beta male. It sounds harsh, but that has been my experience and discoveries on the path of cannabis. I do however, think that cannabis is an amazing plant that should be indulged in periodically for its physical, mental, and emotional benefits. The key is balance and responsibility, the ability to respond.
Life throws many challenges at us that require our attention and energy to remain in homeostasis, and there are often opportunities to put in some extra, unnecessary attention and work to get spectacular outcomes. The difference between a limp-dick and a total badass, is that the badass actually executes the correct actions in the physical world using his/her physical body. The limp-dick continually makes excuses or justifications for his lack of action, or reframes his apathy as a strength, claiming that he is more satisfied and spiritual than the go-getter. This is why the dalai lama told the dedicated cave-meditator to get a life when asked what else needs to be done outside of medication. The entire world has rewarding experiences that are waiting for you to make them happen. Part of the gift of life is that you have control over it and can make what you want of it, so don't be afraid to make a splash. If you screw it up, you can always correct the mistake or work on something else.
I am ready for a world of conscious manifesters and cocreators, and that starts with a community, and that starts with me and you. So thank you for reading, continue down your individual path of total badassery, and we will see each other on the other side. Maybe you can share your own tips and tricks in the comment section.
