TruthOrLie - Rewarded for Fact-Checks
Hello everyone,
Would you be interested in being rewarded for ETH for performing fact-checks or by simply adding your thoughts? As part of my master's thesis, I created an application named TruthOrLie at https://www.truthorlie.info/how-it-works (uses Ethereum mainnet). Put simply, I want to see the effectiveness of incentivization when crowdsourcing for fact checks. People can post things to be fact checked. Then other people can fact check it. If you don't want to use real ETH, there is also version for testing on the Rinkeby network at https://www.rinkebytruthorlie.info/how-it-works. Creating an account costs about $1.30 in ETH due to the deployment of a smart contract and a random number assignment through the Provable oracle, so trying it out on the RInkeby network at first is recommended.
As of this post, there's a test fact-check for $5 ("The raw banana is green initially due to presence of chlorophyll."). Just throw in a few words or links and make a vote. You'll get the chance at the reward. Depending on how many votes took place the reward may be split. More will be posted later today 3/4/2020.
