RE: Dangerous Thought and the Mind Controllers

That is a complicated question. In some parts of the U.S there is a legal cannabis market but it is only legal according to that state. The federal government says all cannabis is illegal but since enforcement of most laws is a state's responsibility the ones that legalized cannabis choose not to enforce the federal laws. This is an over simplification, though. One could easily write several volumes of books on this subject.

As to psychedelic drugs, most are very illegal here. There are is an exception for Native Americans who practice a certain religion which requires them to consume peyote at times. However, many of these laws are unenforceable. For example, psychedelic mushrooms grow wild in just about every cow field across the country and in the forests. Peyote still grows wild in a few regions too (though, it is considered unethical to harvest it incorrectly because it takes so long to grow).

The laws need to change. People have used these kinds of drugs since we lived in huts and hunted for berries. They are and have always been a part of human civilization and no law can change our nature.

Actually, if marijuana is used for medical purposes, of course it will not be a problem. However, the utilization of marijuana does not exceed the levels that have been determined. This is because it can cause loss of balance, so the expected goal is not achieved.

I have seen no evidence to suggest that cannabis causes any significant issue but you are free to believe as you wish.
