Sadly, I do not believe the government tends to share accurate financial information. Especially when it comes to inflation they know keeping inflation low affects compensation programs.

The food banks of Illinois are also going under some kind of stress . We recently got a letter telling us that they might switch from food stamps to giving us boxes of food . I know donations have been down and many places seem to only have JUNK foods available . I have a high risk of type 2 diabetes that I’m trying to control and they keep giving us unhealthy crap like potato chips , cookies , candy 🍭 just really brain dead individuals that are not giving us healthy foods and then if we complain they seem to take offense . Many churches I suspect of hoarding the good foods for their events and throwing the junk at the poor . But again when you have to take anything your basically turned into a SLAVE cuz your damed if you do and damed if you don’t . And many of the junk foods they give us are either close to expiration date or are over it . We need fruits and vegetables , unprocessed meats . Not bologna, and hot dogs . Hell those are suspected of causing colon cancers . Great report 👏👍
