Black Swan
Today my dog and I passed by my good friend Venette’s house and visited briefly.
I told her that in 2016 I wrote a piece, “knock this Trump off my shoulder!”
We will see the culmination of that sentiment in 2024.
The working class white people have given up on representation by either party and are scared and pissed. They chose an abusive, sociopathic criminal to represent them. He offers the lip service they crave and want to get behind (not unlike romance scam victims finally being told they are special and beautiful).
Anyway, the power elite abetted Trump’s ascent. The religious gained in power, the rich gained in continued distraction from graft, and hefty tax breaks.
Alas, a monster was created and is threatening to destroy the rule of law that contains the masses, and permits the plunder of public resources. If Trump is elected again, law will have no meaning. He has violated nearly all, from theft to physical assault. If he is stopped, as he must be if the elite are to continue their cleptocratic, religious and cultural agendas, the masses will outright revolt.
At this point the country is between a rock and a hard place. Either outcome will be disastrous (Trump presidency, Trump arrest/death/disappearance and election of Democrat or Republican with half the electorate hostile to him/her).
A third outcome is a black swan event – climate collapse, a hostile nuclear detonation, successful attack on the US power grid, EMP – we are rich in possibilities. In this case I can only think that supply chains will be broken and starvation will emerge very soon after, among many other things that result in a lot of death and violence and more death.
