Trumpcare Revolt- What happens when the dog catch the car.

Trump has made good on one of his campaign promises. Well...sorta. He is not going to completely repeal and replace Obamacare. Call it more of a retooling.

But republicans and republican leaning groups have already panned it. They have called it trumpcare and obamacare 2.0. In their eyes his plan is nothing but a warm rehash of what they campaigned and voted on for years to repeal and replace.

But reckoning day is here. After years of promising to rip it out from the rots, the party is caught in a bad trap. The president is not keeping his campaign promise of repeal and replace in it's purest form. He is trying to piecemeal it. Pure republicans are demanding a full repeal then replace. To them point of disagreeing with him in public.

At the same time if they do go with his plan it's going to suck worse for patients. Very likely more will lose coverage if they take Trumps plan. However those who will lose their Obamacare are the same people who voted for a lot of those republicans. And if you've been watching the town hall meetings you know what I'm talking about.

How can you kick people off of healthcare then turn around and ask for their vote ? Mid-terms are coming soon. Don't think for a moment those politicians are not doing the political math.

So they've finally caught the proverbial car. Now they have think about it. Go with Trump and do half baked repeal and replace. Go with their own plan to repeal and replace. Either way there will be political consequences. Do you go down with the USS Trump ? Or get off in your own rescue boat to live another day.
