Trump looking to replace 4 star general!
Trump has made it clear, during a white house meeting of generals, that he wants to replace four star General John Nicholson. During the white house meeting the president was also quoted saying "we are losing" the Afghanistan war.
The U.S. has been fighting in afganistan longer then in the Vietnam war and has lead to the deaths of over 2000 Americans. The 2 most recent happening on aug 1, during a suicide bombing attack on a NATO convoy.
Gen John Nicholson has only been in command of the US armed forces in Afghanistan since March 2016 but the president is still not impressed with his progress or lack there of.
Given all the recent terminations in the trump white house I would be looking for mercenary work if I was Gen. Nicholson.
