The Social Justice Witch, the New SJW

Lo, the Avenging Brooklyn Witches

Catland Owners.jpeg

It’s never a good look to be scrawny af and next to a woman sturdier than you.

The two above… whether they are a couple or not(it would be a waste of time to look that up), own the bookshop where the now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanugh was hexed by 60 people. The shop live streamed the hex and gave instructions to the viewers as to how to hex Kavanaugh at home.

The shop is called the apropos SJW name, Catland Bookstore. There are, after all, a bunch of lonely SJW Cat Ladies and, some of them in that area in Brooklyn are going to be drawn to the store based on the name. A few will probably become witches… just because of the name. At least they’ll think they’re witches.

The place was founded by two guys that left and a third that may serve as a silent partner. You can find that information and a whole bunch of shit really and shop on the Catland website here.

The Store Honestly Looks Cheesy as Fuck

The above is a more flattering and dynamic picture. Do, however, notice the penis candles…

There are actually not that many pictures of the place. It must be pretty small. Keep in mind, only 60 people are allowed in the shop at one time due to the Fire Code.

The guys who founded the store were somewhat normal looking guys. The two that own the place now, shown above… well, they’re kind of hipster trash. There was probably some element of that in the original owners too.

In most of the pictures, the store has a real boutiquey feel. It’s a vapid and flashy feel, dated even. The website is kind of lame too. It seems like the place seeks more to entertain people thus selling mostly worthless and/or trendy product and maybe on lifestyle.

Catland Books is a pretty goofy and non-threatening place. However, their pitch on for the even was somewhat intense, I guess.

From the Catland Facebook page:

Please join us for a public hex on Brett Kavanaugh, upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them. We are embracing witchcraft’s true roots as the magik of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised and it’s history as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him.

He will be the focal point, but by no means the only target, so bring your rage and and all of the axes you’ve got to grind. There will also be a second ritual afterward – “The Rites of the Scorned One” which seeks to validate, affirm, uphold and support those of us who have been wronged and who refuse to be silent any longer.

50% of the event proceeds will be donated to charity:
25% to the Ali Forney Center and 25% to Planned Parenthood.

Emphasis mine.

So, this store and “event” is right in a hipster and/or yuppie area, of course there are the “the downtrodden and disenfranchised.”

For all the bluster of the invite and the hype in the media, the “ritual” was terribly informal. It was led by a gay man who seemed very happy and, the bunch read from the book of Psalms. They presumably read King David’s prayer to God to smash their enemies. Instead of praying to God though, they prayed(or whatever) to anything everything else… maybe even to dildo candles. The fag also got a woodblock solo in.

You can watch the full ~10 minute “ritual” from Facebook here:

This author is glad he did not venture out into Bushwick to get the scoop on the Social Justice Witches.

As a rule of them, however many people say they are going to an event organized on Facebook, an SJW event, figure at most 1/10th of the people that say they are going are actually going. Also take into account the size of the venue.

A Church somewhere who hopefully didn’t know what a joke the Catland event would be led a counter-strike Mass or something for Kavanaugh. It may have been something goofy in it’s own right if for no other reason than that Catland is called Catland. You can read that story if you want here at the Daily Caller.
