Acting FBI Director Vows Not To Let White House Meddle In Russia Probe

What We Know So Far:
Despite previously saying for months that President Trump had full confidence in FBI Director James Comey, the White House on Wednesday suddenly changed tune and said the president had been considering firing him for months.
Days before he was dismissed, Comey asked the Justice Department for more money to investigate the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, according to the New York Times. But the Justice Department is saying this isn't true.
Comey's sudden dismissal on Tuesday evening sent shockwaves through Washington, where few people were given a heads-up before the president's decision became public.
Some Republicans have now joined Democrats in calling for independent investigations into the Trump campaign's alleged Russia ties.
After meeting with Russian diplomats on Wednesday, Trump said he sacked Comey because he was "doing a bad job." During a Twitter rant, he also blasted Democrats for what he said was hypocrisy.
The former FBI chief has been invited to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee at a closed-door hearing on Tuesday.*The acting FBI Director vowed not to let the White House meddle in the Russia probe during a hearing.

I like how 4 months ago up until last week ALL the Dems and some swamp Rep were against Comey.... Then Trump FIRED HIM.... Now ALL of tem are bashing Trump saying he was a great FBI director
I don't think the Dems are pissed because they think he was a great FBI director. I think it's more like wow this guy (Trump) goes from loving Comey for what he did to Hillary and then firing him because he's investigating him. I think everyone is getting tired of the hypocrisy and obvious blatant authoritarianism from the Trump white house.

I hate corporate media as much as the next guy but it really doesn't take much to see how much corruption is behind Trump's election. Also, the fact that literally anything negative said/reported on him is automatically "fake news" is seriously problematic. Like we've seen this kind of behavior many times before and its called authoritarianism. This guy basically wants to become Erdogan of America.
