My first post.
Introduce myself.
Hi people!! My name is Albany Rai, I’m 20 and I live in Caracas, Venezuela I’m not sure how to use that, but I’ll learn it. I study mechanical engineering at UCV; it’s too difficult but I learnt to love it. They’re so amazing and thundering. I love animals, especially dogs in fact I have one, her name is Renata-san; she’s a poodle and she’s crazy. I’ve had other pets like duck, turtle and another dog.
I’m going to tell you why I study mechanical engineering. Since I was 3-4 years old, I wanted to study engineering, but I didn’t know what type of engineering. Time after, when I was 10, I wanted to study chemical engineering because I liked to mix my mom’s creams (she doesn’t have to know it) it was funny, but when I saw for first time chemistry, I didn’t like it. Actually, I felt disappointed.
I got stuck; I didn’t know what to study. Instead of thinking about other types of engineering, I thought in other careers like publicity, audiovisual arts. They’re awesome but I don’t have the talent for them. I was figuring it out other careers, but none of them I liked.
My dad started working as a truck driver. When I was on vacation, mi mom and I accompanied him. Sometimes it was funny, it was hard, it was stressful… the cops were a nuisance; some streets were dangerous, and so on. However, at the end of the day, it was an adventure. I met new places, I learnt a little about trucks, about truck models and the life of a truck driver. That's how I started to like trucks.

Once, we took Renata-san with us. She’d already been used to doing this. We were going to stay in a hotel but they didn’t allow pets. When we arrived at the hotel, we cover her with a blanket, fortunately she was tired, and she didn’t make noise. She slept with my parents. The next day, when we were going to work, we cover her again. In the elevator, a hotel worker came in. Renata-san began to breathe hard so I had to breathe hard too. She never realized it, thank God. In spite that was funny, we don’t want to do that again.
As I liked trucks, I started reading about types of engineering and mechanical engineering grabbed my attention. I read more about it, and I started to like it. I studied a lot for the admission exams. I presented the exams at USB (Simon Bolivar University) and UCV (Central University of Venezuela) and I was admitted in both of them. I chose UCV because it’s closer to my house. I was excited until I was started my first semester. It was quite difficult at the beginning, I failed at math. I cried, I was wondering if engineering was my thing… I tried again and I passed all the exams, and I approved all my subjects.

(Renata-san tired of studying😅)
Right now, I'm in the fourth semester. It’s been hard but I know I can with this. I like my career, I still like trucks. I’ll keep my best. By the way, I’d like to work at Mack Volvo.
That was all friends. I hope you like it.
PD: I’m not good enough with this, but I like learning so I hope you haven’t bored with my story.
PD2: As you can see, English is not my mother language, but as I said. I like learning. If I have an error, please tell me.
Another picture of Renata-san because she's the coolest.
