Tropical Storm Paolo

This is how the recent tropical storm, Paolo would look like in my imagination. Just like my previous illustration of another storm, Odette this looks like an artificial intelligence hovering above the planet.

The story that came up to mind is, Paolo was searching for Odette. He was sent by the elders because Odette never came back. Tropical storm Paolo was created by the elders to be tougher than the one who was sent before him. Paolo was made from a rare red metal called ornibium. Thanks metal has a subtle sheen but will glare in your eyes once there is enough surrounding plasma energy. This is also tough and can withstand any atmospheric pressure. The elders are confident enough that this new creation will be able to accomplish its set mission.

Paolo left the mother ship and wandered the void black expanse of the universe. On his journey he had a contact with a foreign unidentified celestial object. Paolo could not contain his curiosity and pursued the said object. The elders on the other hand are taking a close watch and directed Paolo to his mission. He was programmed to seek for Odette who was reported to be missing. It took days before Paolo reached his target. He made a quick landfall maintaining a maximum sustained winds. He ravaged the surrounding terrain while landing and was amazed by his own power. Little did he know the unidentified celestial object was drawn to his trail thereby landing on target with him.

Paolo loved the strength and fury his red metal suit brought him. He thinks he is invincible and continued to cause more damage to the soft terrain. Obviously he did not make it to come back to the mother ship for some selfish reasons. He got lost upon making a landing and got exhausted. He is running out of energy and the surrounding plasma is not suited for his needs. I guess that is how these tropical storms were designed -- to self destruct in times of danger and failure.

It took me a week or so before posting but this drawing was finished ahead of time. I didn't have the inspiration about the story and couldn't link it right with the story of Odette. I am not sure if I will continue creating characters base on the actual storms that come our area because the Philippines has more than 20 of them each year. I may not be able to catch up.
