Let's Discuss TRON (TRX)

TRON is a Singapore based coin created by Justin Sun, who has made the Forbes 30 under 30 and is proteges with Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma. TRON is operated by a non-profit foundation, though I'm not sure how Singapore businesses and non-profits work.

"Singapore is renowned for its stable and well-established laws and financial environment. As a nonprofit entity established in Singapore, the Tron Foundation, subject to the laws of Singapore, is a legal entity having no commercial interest that supports and engages in activities for public or private benefits. The “profits” obtained by the Foundation are deemed surplus and will be retained for the organization and implementation of other activities and events. Members of the Foundation will never partake any distribution of profits."

The coin is built on four pillars:

Data liberation: on a free and uncontrolled basis, the contents including characters, pictures, audios and videos may be unloaded, stored and spread.

Content enabling: digital assets are obtained through provision and spread of contents, thus economically stimulating the enabling of content ecology.

Personal ICO: an individual may freely distribute digital assets in the form of ICO, while others may enjoy the benefits and services brought due to the continuous development of data contributors by purchasing digital assets.

Infrastructure: with distributed digital assets will be equipped with a complete set of decentralized infrastructures, including distributed exchange, autonomous gaming, forecast and game system.

The thorough plan that extends to 2025 shows that Sun has put forethought into his venture and is not looking to pump and dump in order to make some fast cash.

The Peiwo app (also founded by Sun) links the largest voice content community in China, with over 10 million global registered users and more than a million monthly active users. A large majority of users are young, born after 1995. Peiwo will become the first TRON-compatible entertainment app, allowing its users to get paid in TRX coins. This should generate substantial usage of the coin which in turn will increase demand and price.

Final thoughts are that TRX is sitting at $0.046 USD according to coinmarketcap.com but could be a big winner if it takes hold in the Chinese entertainment market. I suggest a buy and hold for this coin and let's see where it goes in 2018.
