Airdrop status
Since the airdrop begun there has been a buzz on forums and crypto sites since not much information regarding the airdrop has been released but today Tron has issued a statement regarding the current state of the airdrop.
The ETH Tron Airdrops began on April 27, but due to severe Ethereum network congestion, we have only completed ~4% of airdrops to eligible Ethereum users at the time of writing. We have increased mining fees to accelerate the airdrop process and catch up on the backlog but there was no firm date set on when this Airdrop will be completed and which exchanges and wallets will be compatible for automatic retrieval or will it require a manual request for your airdropped tokens. Tron has urged holders to be patient as the distribution speed is out of their control

Airdrop distribution
Ethereum user accounts will be given an average of 50 TRX. 30 million tokens in all will be dropped worth over $1.7 million. Currently, the token is trading at $0.052.
How to quality for the Airdrop
Any account with over 0.1ETH will be eligible for the airdrop with over 600,000 accounts eligible to receive the tokens. I am not sure whether purchasing at least 0.1 ETH is worth receiving a free 50 TRX, but that would up to the individual investor to decide.
